Kindergarten Blog March 29th, 2017

Some of your kindergartners recently participated in Historical Figures Day at Black Pine Circle. It's wonderful to see your children proudly dressed in the garb of important people from all over the globe, and from different periods in time. The educational opportunities presented by this  historic dress-up day are numerous, and our students benefit, not only from learning about people from our past, but also from the different prospectives offered by these figures.

In class, we have been studying 2D shapes and the differences between them. We have discussed what flat and curved sides are, and how they can help us to identify shapes. We have also been studying maps, their uses, and how they can help us to navigate and understand our world.
