Some of the hallmarks of our school are imagination and creativity. Spirit days, like "Dress Like An Animal Day" give our students opportunities to imagine what its like to be something else, and to embrace creativity by creating or helping to create beautifully elaborate costumes.
On these days, our classroom becomes a swirl of thoughts, ideas and roll-play. I love hearing the kids reasons for being whatever they have chosen to be, because there is always a little piece of their personality woven into the costume.

Kindergarten Blog, January 6th, 2017
Some things that are not new in our classroom are the wealth of great questions and chances for further exploration, as well as the community we, students and teachers, have constructed over the first four months of the school year. Romina and I are gifted with the feeling that we were truly missed over winter break. Hugs and long, lovely winter stories are abundant as we settle back into the daily routine of kindergarten.
